Mrs. Catherine Kilner

Cathy Kilner graduated from the U. S. Military Academy at West Point in 1990 and is the 13th Social Development Coordinator for West Point - more commonly known as the Cadet Hostess. Cathy is the third West Point graduate to hold this special position. 

Cathy was an enlisted soldier for two years before attending the USMA Preparatory School and West Point; branching Quartermaster. During her four years as a Cadet in Company B-3, her activities included Sandhurst, the Theater Arts Guild, the Rock-Climbing Club, and the Orienteering Team. Her favorite leadership roles as a cadet were when she served as the company First Sergeant as a Cow and when she was the Company Activities Officer as a Firstie. 

Cathy is married to her Beast squad mate, (LTC-retired) Dr. Pete Kilner, who recently retired as the Academy's Chair for Character Development. They have four sons, the oldest of which is a USMA ('15) graduate and Armor officer. Their third son is a 1LT in the NY Army National Guard. Although Cathy hails from Minnesota, she claims West Point as her home, as her family has been blessed to be stationed here for a combined total of over 22 years.
